Vehicle registration

When relocating to Italy with your vehicle, one of the essential steps is to register your imported car or motorcycle. When your vehicle is coming from an EU country, Dedalo Service ensures that the registration process is smooth and hassle-free. We will guide you through the necessary steps, documentation, and requirements to get your vehicle properly registered in Italy.

If you are importing a vehicle from an EU country, you must first cancel its registration with the traffic control authority in its home country and obtain a cancellation certificate and technical specifications form. You can drive the vehicle to Italy on a provisional number plate issued by the traffic authority.

To register the vehicle in Italy, it must pass a test to confirm it meets Italian technical standards. After passing, you will receive a certificate of conformity. For more information on type-approval and technical requirements, contact a local Ufficio Provinciale della Motorizzazione Civile (UMC).

Once the vehicle has passed the test, it must be registered and entered into the Public Motoring Register (Pubblico Registro Automobilistico/PRA) within 60 days.

After Registration

Once your vehicle is registered in Italy, it must be entered into the Public Motoring Register (PRA) at the Provincial Office of the ACI (Automobile Club d’Italia) within 60 days of the registration issuance. Dedalo Service will ensure that all your paperwork is complete, and we will guide you through the entire process, ensuring a smooth and efficient registration of your vehicle in Italy.

Documents needed:
